Terms and Conditions

  1. The customer hereby appoints Mail Boxes Etc. (hereinafter MBE) to take care of the consignment of his/her package to one or more of the following Couriers:

which will take care of its delivery to the place of destination, and allow MBE to sign on his/her name and behalf the relevant waybill, the conditions of transport of which the Customer declares to be aware of as they are available at the websites indicated above. To this respect, the Customer is invited to read and/or to download the PDF version of the above-mentioned General Terms and, if the case, to keep them, activity which represents an onus of the Customer. The Customer, by undersigning this Form, confirms that he/she will autonomously take care of such an activity. Consignments accepted by MBE PH may still be subject to refusal to ship by the courier.

  1. MBE PH does not accept to take care of consignments that cannot be transported by the courier. For this purpose, the customer declares that the goods consigned are not of a type that are not acceptable and/or not transportable by the courier and acknowledges that the couriers’ packaging standards have been made known to him/her by MBE PH.
  2. MBE PH is liable, within the limits of the value declared by the customer, for the packing operations (only if performed by MBE PH), safekeeping and consignment of the parcel to the courier.
  3. Rates are subject to change based on fuel surcharge, UPS tariff adjustments, or currency fluctuations without prior notice.
  4. Clients are responsible for providing all necessary permits and documents required for customs clearance. Failure to do so may result in delays, penalties, or shipment holds. MBE PH will not be liable for any issues caused by incomplete or missing requirements. Any additional charges due to such delays will be billed to the client.
  1. MBE SafeValue
    • UPS Liability – UPS covers up to USD $100 (or local currency equivalent) only if proven that the loss or damage was due to UPS’ fault.
    • Additional Insurance – Customers may purchase MBE SafeValue Insurance through MBE PH to extend coverage beyond the standard USD $100 limit. SafeValue offers broader protection for loss or damage based on the declared shipment value, subject to its specific terms and conditions.
    • Claims Procedure – Any claim for loss or damage must be filed within the official claim period prescribed by the courier or the insurance provider, and must include all required supporting documentation (ex: photos, invoices, packing proof). Failure to submit a claim within the prescribed period or without complete documentation shall release MBE PH, the courier, and the insurance provider from any liability or obligation to process such claim.
  1. Except for cases of willful misconduct and gross negligence, the liability of MBE PH is regulated by the following conditions:
    • MBE PH does not assume any liability with respect to the successful delivery of the accepted parcels or for the loss or damage of their contents, for whatever reason. In case of loss or damage of said parcels, MBE PH will – in the name and on behalf of the customer and extrajudicially only – request compensation from the courier or insurance provider. MBE PH shall not be held responsible for any refusal or denial of compensation by the courier or insurance provider, and shall, in no event, be obliged to refund or indemnify the customer for any resulting loss or damage.
    • MBE PH does not assume any liability for the damage to parcels that have been packed by the customer. The liability of the courier for items that have been packed by the Customer is limited to the case of loss and not to the case of damage.
    • MBE PH does not assume responsibility for courier’s timely delivery. Any statement made by the MBE PH staff concerning the probable date of delivery represents merely an opinion. MBE PH does not assume responsibility for shipping delays on the part of the courier.
    • In case of shipment that entails taxes, customs duties, charges and/or other expenses in connection with the transport, the same shall be paid by the customer.
  1. The MBE Centers are owned by independent entrepreneurs who operate under the MBE trademark pursuant to a franchising agreement.
