MBE PH team undergoes master licensee training in Spain and Italy.
The Mail Boxes Etc. Philippines (MBE PH) team recently completed an extensive international training program in Europe following the awarding of the master franchise license to the CBPi Group. As part of the onboarding process, the Philippine delegation traveled to Barcelona, Spain and Milan, Italy, home of the global MBE network.
Beginning Training in Barcelona

The MBE Master Licensee training began in Barcelona, where the PH team was welcomed with a dinner with the MBE HQ team. MBE PH delegates also met their classmates for the training from Albania, Argentina, Bangladesh, and the Czech Republic.
The Barcelona training focused on franchise development, sales strategy, and marketing and innovation. The sessions spanned different key areas, such as franchise qualification processes, business management systems, marketing for pilot stores, sales navigation tools, and effective offer presentation.
To further deepen their expertise, the MBE PH team visited MBE centers in Barcelona to observe and learn from their day-to-day operations. This leg of the program focused on real-world applications, including customer service delivery, store operations, and service integration across shipping, printing, and mailbox solutions.
One of the most valuable takeaways for the PH team in Spain was learning how to build a strong franchise foundation from lead qualification and workshop simulations to understanding gross margins, team management, and customer offer presentation. The training also highlighted innovation tools and practical strategies that can help scale operations more efficiently.
Meetings in Milan

For the next phase of training, the MBE PH team headed to the heart of it all: Milan, Italy. This is where the main MBE HQ is located, and the PH team spent two weeks here doing a deep dive into MBE’s services and learning more about Fortidia, MBE’s parent company, and its long-term vision for the brand.

During the visit to Milan, the MBE PH team also had the opportunity to meet with Paolo Fiorelli, Chairman and CEO of Fortidia. Fiorelli has led the Group’s global expansion for decades, helping grow MBE into a worldwide network supporting businesses with shipping, logistics, fulfillment, and marketing solutions. MBE PH Chairman and CEO Norman Fulgencio gifted Fiorelli an iconic jeepney figurine as a token of appreciation.
The meeting provided valuable insights into the Group’s vision and mission to empower people locally to power business globally, a philosophy that continues to guide MBE’s operations across more than 50 countries.
Primed for Philippine Operations
The international training experience provided the Philippine team with a comprehensive understanding of the MBE business model, from front-end customer engagement to back-end logistics and operational workflows. It also reinforced the importance of consistency, quality, and customer-centric service across all MBE locations worldwide.
With this training completed, MBE Philippines is now better positioned to bring globally aligned, locally relevant business solutions to Filipino entrepreneurs, MSMEs, and professionals.
As MBE PH prepares for its pilot store opening in Manila, the knowledge and experience gained from Italy and Spain will play a critical role in ensuring that every MBE center in the country delivers the same standard of excellence that defines the brand globally.

The Mail Boxes Etc. Philippines team recently traveled to Vienna, Austria for an in-store training program aimed at strengthening operational expertise ahead of the brand’s local expansion.
The visit provided a hands-on learning experience, allowing the team to deepen their understanding of MBE’s core services—particularly in shipping, printing, and e-commerce and fulfillment. By observing day-to-day store operations, the team gained practical insights into how MBE delivers efficient, high-quality, and customer-focused service.
The training was conducted with guidance from Dieter Baier and Daniela Münster, whose expertise helped showcase best practices across different service areas. Their mentorship offered a valuable perspective on maintaining service excellence within a fast-paced retail environment.
With these learnings, the MBE Philippines team is better equipped to bring global standards of service to the local market. As preparations continue for the brand’s launch in the Philippines, the team looks forward to applying these insights to deliver a seamless and reliable customer experience.
